Verifying customer address information is one of many methods we use to make sure that customer transactions are valid and secure. Your order included a ship-to address which was not your verified billing address. To protect customers against fraud, when we receive an order for an item priced at $750 or more to be shipped to a destination other than a customer's actual verified billing address, we confirm that the credit card or financing company has this alternate ship-to address on file, as a security precaution.
This is an easy process for credit cards, but some debit card and check card providers will not permit listing of an additional address, which was the case for your order. With debit and check cards, as you noted, the easiest thing is to have an order shipped to the verified billing address, OR a customer can change their billing address to the desired shipping address for several hours and notify us immediately of the change so that our credit department can verify the shipping address as being on file with the bank.
