An intense interest in Greco-Roman culture and art during the Victorian era in England and America made mythological subjects an extremely popular theme for cameo jewelry. Many in the modern age associate these three figures with the Christian concepts of Faith, Hope, and Charity.

Meticulously hand engraved in exquisite detail, this romantic carnelian shell cameo is set in a 14K yellow gold bezel oval frame. Signed on the back by the artist Borriello, this wonderful cameo has a hidden bail on the back which can accommodate a large neckchain or omega necklace, which makes it possible to wear this work of art both as a pendant and as a brooch. Measuring 35 millimeters high, this enchanting cameo is ideal to collect and wear as an heirloom to add to your fine estate jewelry collection.
